Mosquitofish are available for pickup at the District Office in Lakeport from May 1 through October 31 (dates are subject to change based on weather and temperatures). Please call our office at (707) 263-4770 to confirm that we have mosquitofish available.
I got mosquitofish from you last year, but I don't see them anymore. Do I need to get more fish? Probably not! If you picked up mosquitofish in previous years, they're probably still there (unless their container dried out!). Mosquitofish move to lower depths and hibernate in the winter. Look for signs of your mosquitofish in the afternoons on warmer days in winter and early spring.
